Quantified Self

I give talks and small workshops about the Quantified Self. You can see the slides from my previous talks on slideshare. The workshops include a brainstorm on how to use QS for personal and community development.

Data-visualization

Visualizations help people to get more insight into data. I build mine with the help of libraries like Raphael.js & D3 for the web or Processing. If you provide the data-set I will extract information and make it easier for people to understand the data.

ETL-ing (Extract, Load & Transform) 

Data is often messy, low quality or has the wrong formatting. I use tools like Google Refine and Numpy to purify the data and save it into useable formats. This service can be coupled with data-visualisation on the web if you have a database available.

Custom build mashups & installations

I build custom mashups using Google App Engine & Python. Need to hook up API’s to build a dashboard or want something else build? This also includes things like extracting data from devices (like Hoofdbeelden which uses brainwaves).
